Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

Our Talking Therapy Services is changing so that we can provide support for those who are self-isolating, anxious about the impact of the virus on themselves, family and their loved ones, as well as continuing to provide support for people with problems such as stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia. We are also offering support to NHS staff affected by Covid-19.

To meet the challenge of Covid-19 situation we have temporarily changed the way that our services work and the support that we offer. We can offer focused support to people by telephone or video call and can also offer online treatments.

We hope to be able to move back to our normal service as quickly as we can once the Covid-19 situation is over.

If your mental health deteriorates or if you experience any thoughts of suicide or self-harm, please contact the CNWL Single Point of Access Crisis Team on 0800 0234 650 or the Samaritans for free on 116 123.

The Central and North West London Foundation Talking Therapies Service is part of the national Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service. This is a free and confidential therapy service which provides treatments for low mood or depression and anxiety problems

We offer a range of therapies, all supported by evidence. These are delivered by Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners or Psychological Therapists.

Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners deliver Step 2 treatments. These are low intensity interventions for people who have mild to moderate difficulties or who have recently become anxious or depressed. Step 3 treatments are delivered by Psychological Therapists for people with mild to severe or long term anxiety or depression.

Our teams are based in Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon and Westminster. We also have a Take Time to Talk service in Kensington & Chelsea. Please contact us for further details.
